Don’t let the plug get you down

Wall plugs help to anchor screws to walls, allowing you to safely and securely hang anything from mirrors to shelves and are available in all sizes and for all wall types.

Removing them however, is not so simple. In the past I have attempted to pull them out using pliers and even once tried sanding. These methods were rarely successful so I went back to the drawing board and discovered a quick and easy way to remove wall plugs.

Tools you’ll need:

  • Claw Hammer
  • Screwdriver
  • Screw

You’ll want to start by taking your screw and twisting it into the plug about half way.

Then using your claw hammer, attach the nail extraction end to the screw and gently pull towards you until it becomes loose. Thus removing both screw and plug in one fell swoop.

Once your plug has been removed, simply use a hole filler of your choice and get back to decorating.
