The Master Bedroom

I’ve come across a handful of interior design inspiration accounts on Instagram that have been so helpful in helping choose a colour scheme, which has been really difficult because my house narrow and gets very little natural light.

My aim is to create the illusion of a big bright space by recreating some of the ideas I’ve found online.

The entire room was painted in Chic Shadow by Dulux, which is a really light grey and has been paired with a dark grey carpet and blinds to match. Cosy for sure but definitely not bright and I hope to change this by incorporating a lot of white.

Ideally I would fit new blinds and carpet with a lighter shade but as they were fitted very recently and to stick to my budget I have found a feature wall colour called Urban Obsession by Dulux instead which is a perfect match.

It’s looking brighter already but I know I’ll need a little injection of colour moving forward. Nothing crazy, maybe a pastel pink or purple (I’m not sure yet) but something to make it pop.

I’ll keep you posted.
